January TBR

Hello! I thought today I'd share my January TBR with you.. So yeah here's what I'm planning to read in the month of January:

Peter Pan by J M Barrie

I've actually already started this and I'm about half way through. If you didn't know, Peter Pan (2003) is all time favourite movie EVER. I'm constantly watching it and could probably reenact the whole thing word for word. Anyway, for Christmas I received this beautiful edition from my sister, Diana and it's just, mwell it's Peter Pan, it's perfect.

Heir of fire by Sarah J Mass

Another one I've already started and I'm 100ish page in SO good, I don't know why I've been putting it off for so long. Probably the sheer size of it. If you're not familiar with the throne of glass series, this is the third book and is very hyped in the book worlds. I highly recommend you go start this series. It's got magic, an assassin, mystery and Chaol Westfall *melts into a puddle* I fancy him almost as much as I fancy Peter Pan ;)

Harry Potter and the philosophisers stone by JK Rowling

I've been meaning to read this for years.. I doubt I need to tell what this series is about or tell you how good I know it's going to be and how much I personally will love it. It's about wizards and witches for crying out loud. I've decided I'm going to read one book of this series a month so starting in January with the first book (duh).

With the size of heir of fire I'm going to taget myself with just three because I'm a terribly slow reader and I'm back at school now so I'll have things to read for class and a sh*t ton of essays to write *cries*

What's on your TBR list this month?

Inspiration Board 2016

First up, Happy Be-lated Birthday A.L.I.C.E ! (10/1/15) It's been a grand years and I'm looking forward another year of blogging! As I said in my new years post, I'm very excited for 2016. I thought I'd make a inspiration/vision board to motivate me through out this year. I don't know about you, but I think it's really pretty and I smile every time I see it :)

What you will need to make an Inspiration Board of your own:
  • Card, foam board, cork board, a piece or anything you can stick photos to (you could always just stick photos to your wall)
  • Pictures of your choosing (Print outs or magazines)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Paints
  • Masking tape
  • Anything else you want to put on it
What I did was first was stick on something to watch or listen to. My mum and sister were watching the sound of music live which was very good background noise as I made this.

Then paint the background of my foam board with Baby blue and pink and the masking tape for neatness. I did a boarder of blue and pink diagonal stripes across the board. You can do what ever you want, you don't even need to do a back ground, I just though I'd make my board match my room as well as look nice when the board shows through the gaps of the pictures.. if you know what I mean.

Next cut out your pictures and flick through magazines to fine more and words you like. I printed out a bunch of pictures on some photo paper we had and then when to tescos and picked up vogue magazine for £1, purely to cut up (sorry Vogue). In Vogue I found a picture of m idol Emilia Clarke so I was very chuffed.

Now all you need to do is arrange your pictures and stick them on. I sort of sectioned my pictures, putting similar themed pictures together. Like makeup and fashion, fitness, drawing, reading and nanowrimo, travel and festivals, blogging and organisation, etc.

Just remember to have fun doing it and you want to make it aesthetically pleasing but don't take it too seriously.

I painted a Inspire wood thing I got from hobbycraft for 49p (same place I got the foam board form for £3) and painted it ombre with colours to match the board and my room. I then made the 2016 sign out of the back of an old sketch book and glitter. I think these add to the board nicely.

I will be helping my sister do one soon and maybe take a picture to show you since hers will be very different because she had different things that inspire her.

You don't have to make one alone, you can make one with your friends or family. You could make a whole event out of it, having and vision board party.

If you do make one be sure to tag me on insta of twitter because i would LOVE to see them!

2016 Goals & Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!

Well, what a year's it's been, ay? Though I personally haven't achieve anything mahusive, I've grown SO damn much as a human being (which apparently isn't spelt been, as I was trying to spell it just now.. I haven't slept a wink so bare with my weirdness aha) I'm 17 years old so I obviously haven't "discovered" myself full as I still have a long way to go, but I've found someone and I'm pretty pleased with who I am as of now. Before I began sixth form in September 2014 I feel like I didn't know myself, as weird and deep as that sound, I didn't. Not really. I feel like back then I was just a mess. I didn't know what I liked, didn't have a "style" and didn't really know what was "me". You develop and change all the way through your life but it's a little sad when you're now sure of yourself. 2015 comes though and it's a Cracker! I can now look at something such as an item of clothing and be like "Oh that's so me!" (I thank pinterest for this) ad I don't know, I just feel more like I've got my shit together :3 I probably did know what I liked and what was me in early life but I think that in 2015 I just tidied up and make everything clearer. NOT to mention I started this blog in the beginning of 2015 which has changed my life and the way I look at things. Enough babbling. 2015 was a great year, okay..

On to 2016!

I thought I'd document my goals and resolutions for your knowledge and my my reminded.

GOALS & RESOLUTIONS

Be More Organised - Use dairies, planners, to do lists. Don't wait until last minute for deadlines. Also plan ahead. This can be as simple as planing my outfit the day before.
Be More Adventurous -In how I look, what I wear, creativity, how I spend my time, etc.
Stop Wishing and Start Doing -Put plans into action and get things done.
Use Social Media More -Keep up to date and post regularly.
Read More -I only read like 15 books last year and now I'm really getting into reading I want to read more.
Have My first Boxing Match -I was carded at the end of last year so in 2016 I want to have I my first fight.
Be More Positive -Now, I'm a positive optimist, but I find myself saying saying "I can't" a lot. Mainly in training. Instead of whingeing I just need to suck it up and tried my damn hardest.
Blog -Sometimes I'm put off blogging because it takes ages to write a post. I need to learn that I don't have to post just long posts, I can write simple short posts such as simply posting a few picture I have taken that I like. I want to make A.L.I.C.E more personal and give me that feeling that made me fall in love with blogging.

I could go on and on but I think they are the main ones :3

Thanks for reading and I wish you all the best in 2016. Please some of your resolutions and goals in the comments, I'd love to read them!

I'm SO excited for this year! I think this blog is going to love it too.

(Side note: I'm finally trying to watch star wars and I have one question: WHY THE HELL ARE THEY IN THE WRONG ORDER? I'm watching IV first, why? ... and just missed all the slanted information siding along which is probably important.. oops. I'll have to rewind and pause because I'm a slow reader aha.)
