Wonder Day: Friday

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jSWM38zkdMs/UjNTkjfcEmI/AAAAAAAAOOE/rKN-YmbHZvU/s1600/FRIDAY.png
I wanted to do an actual post but I haven't got any photos prepared .. and I don't really know what to blog about.. but yeah, it's Friday so I'll let myself off and instead just kind of pour my sleep deprived thoughts into this post :)

  • School is killing me. Hard. I always seem to have billions of assignments and homework and coursework and other boring thinks due in and I'm always two steps behind where I should be with things... I put the Pro in Procrastinate.
  • My best friend is the only reason I haven't died in maths yet because she's hilarious!
  • I think I might make a revision/study post about good tips and advice and stuff because I have my mock A-level exams after Easter so it will hopefully put me in the spirit as well as hopefully help you. I also want to a fitness motivation/tips post as I could do with improving my fitness in order to recover from the lack of boxing training I did the majority of last year due to work and exams and then Christmas so I need to get on top of that, but I think I could help in some way as a I'm quite an active person :)
  •  Tomorrow my plans are to:
  1.  Get paint-  I'm redoing my room as soon as it's warmer.. so stay tuned for roomspiration and decor posts ;)
  2. Plan post and take blog photos in bulk- This will most likely consist of a lot of colourful lists
  3. Practise/play around with photography- Aiming to be more tumblr ;) Inspired by a reading account I saw on instagram, how she put together photos where so cute and eye catching. I think it's instagram.com/_halfbl00dprincess ..yeah it is.
  4. BLOG. DRAW. READ. REPEAT
  5. Maybe homework.. ew
  •  I'm currently sweating as my younger sister just taught my big sister and me a dance to Uptown Funk (she's an amazing dancer.. yet she wants to be an actress..) the dance is awesome! I can wait till the next party I go to!!
  • Lent started like a week ago and I gave up chocolate, like I done for just about every year since year 5 or 6 (or some time in junior school). So no more mini eggs for a while :'( I honestly don't know how I can go on much longer without in my life!
  •  On that note, I also finished all four seasons of teen wolf and season five doesn't come out until summer! Ugh!
  • I'm so ready for spring, speaking of which, have you see the Frozen fever trailer? I don't care if it's overrated, I'm excited!
  • I hope I actually get stuff done this weekend so it won't drag on, so then I'll have more blogging time
  • Currently reading: Throne of glass (finally got time to read it, I'm nearly 3/4 of the way through and it's so good!)
And..... I think that's everything bobbing at the top of my mind, well at least all the ones I csan put into words easily.

Thanks for reading!

Hope you enjoyed  ^.^

What's on your mind?

Hope you're having a super fantastic day!

Skater Skirts and Collared Shirts| Look Lust

At the beginning of the year I told you how I wanted to discover my own style and fashion sense.. Somewhat. To start to do this I made a "Fashion Inspiration" board of my pinterest. And I freaking love that board.

Anywho, I recently discovered that a lot of the outfits I were pinning consisted of ether skater skirts or collared skirts, or both. I don't know if this is a trend but I'm in love with the combination.

I own a few collared skirts (which I used to leave unbuttoned in favour of the grunge look but now opt to button them up) but I don't own any skater shirts.. or any shoes to match (most of the shoes that match are heels and I; a) can't walk in heels TO SAVE MY LIFE and b) I'm 5ft 7" already and don't want to feel anymore like a dinosaur)

I think the reason I love this look so much is that it's so versatile. You can dress it up it a pair of heels and some jewellery or down with a pair of combat boots and maybe a jumper. I think ether look is still very femine and put together and well looks like you made an effort to look decent ;)

All light colours make the outfit look so pretty and feminine as well as quite sophisticated :)

This look is so perfect for a holiday or a day out. The sleeves rolled up take a bit of the sophisticatedness away and replaces it with more of a "lets go on an adventure look" They also both kind of remind me of the smart "pretty" girl in shows, like Lydia form teen wolf, this is her kind of fashion.

Ghar! It just looks so fresh and cool aha!  Now picture backpack straps and this will be me going to school in summer!

The sheer black tights and black heels makes her legs look stunning! and the jumper matching the colours in the floral skirt really ties everything in. This would be an idea choice for a meal or night out, especially if you don't know whether to to go full out with a dress and heels or more casual. This is somewhere in between.

SO, my plan of action for how I, and you if you wish, can achieve this look is the following:

1.) GET A SKATER SKIRT
I found Teens Black High Waisted Skater Skirt ( £9.99 ) online at Newlook which is fine because I still fit into the kid/teen section as I'm only 16 and fairly slim but I'm pretty sure they have an adult version if you've got more of a figure then me :)

2.) GET A/SOME COLLARED SHIRTS
I've been scrolling the interwebs for like 15 minutes and I can't find one that I particularly like but I'm pretty sure most shops sell them and I can tell I'll have to see it in real life and try it on to see if I like it.

3.) GET SOME NON-DINOSAUR-LOOK-MAKING SHOES THAT MATCH
Some military boots would be ideal and even some white converse for when its warmer and I don't have to wear like three pairs of tights. I found these which are really nice and pocket friendly.

4.) GET A JUMPER TO THROW OVER THE TOP BECAUSE IT'S COLD IN THE UK
Again pretty much every clothes shop sells them.

Here's a drawing I made to try and feed my lust for this style :) (hand drawn and the coloured on procreate for ipad, you can check it out on my instagram if you want ;) )

Okay that's all for today,
 Thanks for reading!
Hope you enjoyed ^.^
What do you think of this style? would you wear it?

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: First Impression

Here's the sponge dry and at it's original size

And here's it when it's soaked in water and expanded

Now please excuse my weird faces..

Starting off with a clean face.

I applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in True Ivory by putting a few pumps on the back of my hand and dabbing it all over my face with the flat side of the sponge.

Then I used the curved side to blend it in by kind of bouncing it along until my foundation looked more or less seamless.
I then a applied  Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in True Ivory to the places where it goes straight from the wand thing..

And blend blend blend! I used the pointed end for under my eyes and around my nose.

And voile la! I didn't really need to apply either foundation or concealer on this particular day because I was having a good skin day but I just wanted to try the sponge out :D

So my thoughts;
I like it! It didn't blow my mind or anything and it hasn't converted me to sponges but I'm defiantly going to mix between my expert makeup brush and this. I don't know if it's just because I have bouncy skin (people have actually told me i have bouncy skin XD) but I found the bouncing motion for blending a little weird. Not a bad weird but still weird.. I did find however, that I love it for blending out my concealer rather then using my fingers.
It says on the box to wash it after 1-3 washes so I'm going to wash it after 2. I've washed it once already and noticed that the foundation stain is still there somewhat. It doesn't bother me much because I'm not a germaphobe or anything but after a while it may become gross.

So all in all I think it's a pretty good sponge especially for the value. It seamlessly blend the product and is extremely easy to  use so in the morning if I'm running late and look sleep deprived I can whack on so concealer and dab dab dab and run!
So rating out of 10, 1 being "what even is this?" and 10 being "my precious!" I'd give it a 8 which is good because 8 is my favourite number :)

 Thanks for reading!
Hope you enjoyed ^.^
Have you tried it? What did you think? Feel free to tell me in the comments below

January Favourites

`

I can't believe January has been and gone and it's now mid February! I don't even know what I did with my life but I do know these are a few things I loved in the month:

Hands down the best brush I've ever used. Before getting my hair cut on Saturday my hair was quite long. It always got itself into a matted, knotty monstrosity and made me wanted to go Bald never mind short (especially when it was windy) But then I got one of these bad boys for Christmas and it changed my life. It glides through my hair so easily, it's like magic!
Berry lips are in this winter but being blonde and pale, I felt like dark lips would make me look even paler and look too in your face. Then I found this lipstick. I'll admit I originally picked it up because it's one of Zoella's favourites and she's one of my favourite people.. also because it's so raved about and I have to join the rave. It's a berry red wine colour so it's still dark and vampy but not TOO dark and vampy that I look scary :)
I've been loving grey so much lately! I'm not quite sure why either because I used to hate it because it was a depressing colour and I'm not about rainbows and happiness. But I love it now and this is a beautiful shade of it. A dark dove grey it what I would call it because Don't know what chai is.. what ever it is, it looks beautiful on my nails. It's somewhere between wearing black or white nail polish, not as dark or light and not as in your face.
This mascara loves my lashes and my lashes love it. I naturally have long lashes but they're practically invisible because their blonde and point downwards so this mascara is just what I needed; it makes them black and flare out, ooh lovely!
I got a tube of this shampoo for Christmas and used it from then for nearly every hair wash throughout January until it ran it out. I think I got about 10-15 washes out of it. I can't quite decide what it is about it I like. It gave my hair a texture which made it feel super clean and at the same time bouncy and not slippery. I'm defiantly going to repurchase the next time I'm in boots and I'll look for a full size one.
I don't think I've ever been quite so in love with a pair or jeans but these jeans are like my alter ego, they make me feel confident and sassy! ;) They're high waisted which means that they don't fall down and they're are super comfortable. I have noticed that they lose colour quite quickly but other then that I love em'!
  • Twitter
I finally got into twitter and actually know how to work it now! XD I've also discovered how super lovely the blogging community is. I've found so many great blogs on there and I love sharing mine on there :)
  • Teen wolf
At first I was mainly interested in the hot teenage werewolf  but then I got to season three and the plot went from pretty good to frickin' amazing! There's so many times where I'm wrapped in a blanket cocoon just screaming at the screen things like "TEAM EPIC BADASS WEREWOLF NINJAS UNITE!" "NO DON'T DO IT! *GASP* OMG NO!" and "KISS! KISS! OMG KISS ALREADY!!"  ..Some made say I'm a little obsessed.. I give no argument.
  • Mini eggs
I've consumed so may bags that I may turn into an egg.. They're just so good! I'm going to put a stop to this madness next week when lent starts by giving up chocolate again.. but until then.. haha ;)

Okay so they're are my favourite things from January..

 Thanks for reading!
Hope you enjoyed ^.^

I Have Short Hair!

A lady in the hairdressers said I looked like Taylor Swift with this hair so I put on my hat ;)

I've wanted to cut my hair for ages to get rid of my dead and spit ends and to put life back into it. So this morning I went to the hair dresses on a mission. Yesterday, my hair came to around halfway down my back, my side fringe had grown too long to be identified and my hair was too heavy to do anything with. So I just wore it up most of the time. Today my hair; just touches my shoulders, is full of life and in my opinion is pretty darn fabulous! ;)

What I love about it is that it's kind of 'edgy' and is supposed to be messy and 'roughed up'. I also think I represents me more.. if hair can do that? I think I makes me look more artsy and creative as well as quite girly but at the same time not a "girly-girl" and not to mention a little wild and crazy ;)

The only down side is that it's too short for updos so I can say goodbye to my beloved messy bun for a while. I also can't put it in a low bun which I need to do for CCF and I don't know how I'm going to put it up for boxing and general exercise.. BUT I don't care too much because I love it! :)

Just think about how much shampoo I'll save.. oh my

This is the photo I showed my hairdresser, I found it on pinterest, fell in love and then automatically decided to go short

Okay so that's all for today!

 Thanks for reading!
Hope you enjoyed ^.^

My 2015 BOOKet List

Here are the top 15 books that I want to read at some point this year, enjoy :)

1. Throne of glass by Sarah J Maas

I've actually already started this book and I'm a few chapters in, so far so good. This book is about an 18 year old assassin who has been recruited by the crown price to be his champion in some assassins games to find the best assassin in the kingdom who will then become the king's personal assassin. It's a fantasy and.... that's pretty much all I know about it.. apart from the main character is badass heroine! This has been at the top of my tbr for the longest time and I'm so excited to be finally reading it!

2. The maze runner by James Dashner

This is a dystopian I believe and is about some boys stuck in some scary place.. with a scary maze.. that people go in and don't come back..? Great description, I know. The film looked amazing so I thought I'd read the books first.

3. The name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Again and like most off these books, I don't know too much about them. This one is very popular in the fantasy genre. I know it's about a wizard.. so I'm obviously interested because you know magic and all! I've also never read from a guy's point of view so that should be interesting.

4. The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien

I LOVED the films and books are generally better then the films, right? So of course I want to read it! The only thing I'm iffy about is that my favourite character form the films isn't in it, the she-elf (I'm not going even attempt to spell it aha) not only was she super kick-ass and ninja-ish, she also have a beautiful love story with Kili and I SHIPPED IT SO HARD! UGH! ;-; with that said, I'm still excited to explore Middle Earth where it all started, in this book and I also want to read the lord of the rings trilogy :)

5. The Young Elites by Marie Lu

What I understand from the synopsis is that this is a dystopian novel about a place where some kind of disease spread across the land; killing most of the infected and leaving others with strange marks and even powers, the young elites. The story follows three main characters, a girl with powers (I'm guessing she's the mainest character.. is that even a thing? aha), a bad guy who's trying to stop the young elites and a good guy (or so we believe.. DUN DUN DER!) who is trying to stop the bad guy from stopping the good guys? I'm not sure but it seems to be a book about being magical and trying not to die while doing so.. so yeah, sounds good.

6. The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen

Again I don't know a great deal about this books.. but when do I? I knows It follows a strong female lead who I assume is the Queen of the tearling.. It has elements of magic in it, it has been compared to Game of Thrones (bae) and the hunger games AND in the up coming movie, Kelsea, the main character is going to be played by Emma Watson, EMMA WATSON! So it pretty much ticks all the boxes of what I look for in a book :D

7. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

I'm kind of embarrassed that I've made it 16 years of life and not read this. I always put it off because I've already seen the movies and I don't like knowing what's going to happen. I even started reading it a few years back but stopped because I'm such a slow reader.. I don't even know why I stopped because it was really good! Anyway, 2015 is hopefully going to be the year I finally start this series!

8. The Lightning thief by Rick Riordan

Just like with Harry Potter, I'm not too sure why I haven't read this yet. I LOVE Greek mythology and ancient Greek history. For my birthday a year or two ago I genuinely asked for an educational book on the topic.. down with the kids, I know. I also loved the movies but I do wish I read the books first but better late then never!

9. The Final empire by Brandon Sanderson
I Literally know nothing about this book which I kind of like. I've also only heard good things about this series, really good things. Epic fantasy magical action-packed mind blowing adventure? Um yes please!

10. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I guess at some point I may need a break from fantasy and read about "humans" (doubtful) So this is where Fangirl comes in. I tried to read this a while back but at the time I was in a fantasy mood and the idea of reading about regular people bored me (no offence haha). It wasn't bad, I just didn't really get in to it but with the hype that was once around this book, I'm determined to give it another go!

11. Daughter of smoke and bone by Laini Taylor

Umm.. yep, I officially suck at describing books, LITERALLY no idea what it's about but it's such a popular book and it's fantasy.. it can't hurt in trying it :)

12. The raven boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Haha I don't even know what it is never what it's about XD something to do with this girl called Blue and her dead or "soon to be" dead mother and four boys who she should stay away from but going by the title I assume she didn't. I think it may be slightly fantasy? and maybe romantic? honestly I was just intrigued by the synopsis as  I didn't get it and want to aha

13. Prince of thorns by Mark Lawrence

Okay this time it's not my fault because the description on goodreads didn't tell me much. What I've gathered is it's fantasy and magical BUT this book is written from a villain's point of view? well at least he sounds shifty ;)

14. A discovery of witches by Deborah Harkness

This one is about a student who finds some bewitched manuscript whilst doing some research in Oxford's Bodleian Library. She herself is a descendant from a long line of witches but wants nothing to do with it. But this finding leads to all sorts of magical creatures to appear within the library; like vampires and demons etc. So it's fantasy and more supernatural then the others and I think they may be some vampire romance?

15. Amulet, vol. 4: The last council by Kazu kibuishi
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51TAEVBY1qL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg

This is part four of the amulet graphic novel series which I'm enjoying so far after just finishing the third book. It's about a family who wind up in their lost uncle's secret alternate universe.. thing? The world is really weird with elves and robots and animal-like people.. nevertheless they're really good books with beautiful illustrations!

If you would like to know more about any these book other then my pants descriptions, Here's my Goodreads :)

Okay I'm done,

 Thanks for reading!
hope you enjoyed it ^.^
