"Pretending It's Summer" Spring Makeup & Hair

Long time no see! School and life sucked up all my time.. so sorry.
Anywho, the other day I decided to make an effort so I got dressed (for once aha.. I love pjs), put make up on and even curled my hair.

I didn't go anywhere (apart from McDonald's at 2am ;) ) so naturally I took 5386 selfies to document my efforts. These were the only two I liked but I do really like if that's not cocky to say because they're so bright and colourful AND UNEDITED!

My makeup is pretty basic and you can't really see it here but on my eyes is a pinky shade (I'll list all products below) my cheeks are pink and glowy, my lips are a pink and I put a white eyeliner through my waterline to open up my eyes. Super basic but I think it's a nice "spring pinks" makeup, fresh and quite natural looking. If I do say so myself.

For my hair I curled it with the babyliss curling wand (again I'll link below) and put a sh*t ton of hair spray on because my never holds curls. I have to admit my hair has never curled so well. I'm not sure if it's the wand or the fact that my hair is short now. Speaking of being short, since it's short I didn't achieve the beautiful long feminine curls I was after and instead look like I have a birds nest on my head. I kind of like it though, it's playful and a tad out there which is cool with me :) I'm certainly going to curl my hair more often.. though I should probably invest in a heat defence. Always use protection ;)

With the makeup, hair, tie dye to and dungarees I love this look and will certainly wear it again through spring and summer!

What do you think?

Products used:

Bronzer and Highlight- Collection Contour Kit £3.99

TRESemme Extra Hold Hair Spray 500ml £5.25 (though I got it cheaper at bodycare)

Top- Poor Boy in Hull

Dungerees- Newlook (for years ago though)

Thanks for reading! should post more content soon so stay tuned and don't forget to follow so you don't miss it!

Love ya, bye!

Inspiration Board 2016

First up, Happy Be-lated Birthday A.L.I.C.E ! (10/1/15) It's been a grand years and I'm looking forward another year of blogging! As I said in my new years post, I'm very excited for 2016. I thought I'd make a inspiration/vision board to motivate me through out this year. I don't know about you, but I think it's really pretty and I smile every time I see it :)

What you will need to make an Inspiration Board of your own:
  • Card, foam board, cork board, a piece or anything you can stick photos to (you could always just stick photos to your wall)
  • Pictures of your choosing (Print outs or magazines)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Paints
  • Masking tape
  • Anything else you want to put on it
What I did was first was stick on something to watch or listen to. My mum and sister were watching the sound of music live which was very good background noise as I made this.

Then paint the background of my foam board with Baby blue and pink and the masking tape for neatness. I did a boarder of blue and pink diagonal stripes across the board. You can do what ever you want, you don't even need to do a back ground, I just though I'd make my board match my room as well as look nice when the board shows through the gaps of the pictures.. if you know what I mean.

Next cut out your pictures and flick through magazines to fine more and words you like. I printed out a bunch of pictures on some photo paper we had and then when to tescos and picked up vogue magazine for £1, purely to cut up (sorry Vogue). In Vogue I found a picture of m idol Emilia Clarke so I was very chuffed.

Now all you need to do is arrange your pictures and stick them on. I sort of sectioned my pictures, putting similar themed pictures together. Like makeup and fashion, fitness, drawing, reading and nanowrimo, travel and festivals, blogging and organisation, etc.

Just remember to have fun doing it and you want to make it aesthetically pleasing but don't take it too seriously.

I painted a Inspire wood thing I got from hobbycraft for 49p (same place I got the foam board form for £3) and painted it ombre with colours to match the board and my room. I then made the 2016 sign out of the back of an old sketch book and glitter. I think these add to the board nicely.

I will be helping my sister do one soon and maybe take a picture to show you since hers will be very different because she had different things that inspire her.

You don't have to make one alone, you can make one with your friends or family. You could make a whole event out of it, having and vision board party.

If you do make one be sure to tag me on insta of twitter because i would LOVE to see them!

Autumn Lip Picks

I was supposed to do this post donkey's years ago, hence the Halloween decorations but these will work in the winter too. plus it's still technically Autumn.

As the leaves turn colour so do most peoples lipstick colours (though personally I wear these all year round) I when through my lipsticks and sourced out all the browns, berries and reds and photographed them for you :) Most of these are reds and berry colours but the ones on the left are more natural and brown toned.

From left to right: Rimmel Kate Moss- no. 26 (I think..), Rimmel Kate Moss nude collection- 48, Revlon colourburst matte balm- fierce, Rimmel exaggerate lip pencil- red diva, Rimmle Kate Moss- 107, Rimmel Kate Moss- 101, M.A.C lip pencil- Whirl (also Velvet Teddy but I lost it *sob* but I bought another *purse sob*), and Rimmel Colour Rush Balm- No idea and I'm way to lazy to venture upstairs haha, if you want to know just ask and I'll find out :)

I love autumn and the colder months and all the colours that come with them.

What's your go to Autumn lip?

Halloween Half Skull Make-up

I was perusing my youtube feed one day as you do and I came across Roxxsaurs' video "Half skull makeup tutorial" and it looked cool so I watched it and instantly was like "I HAVE TO RECREATE THIS" and then I watched Chrisspy's video and then someone elses and then Roxxsaurus' twice more (on different days mind you) and then this happened.

It's no where near as good as theirs but to say it's my first real attempt at face painting, I think it turned quite good. If i do say so myself.

If you want to learn how to do this, check out Roxxsaurus and Chrisspy's  videos by just clicking on the links :)

It's super easy so have fun and tag me in your pictures if you recreate it!

#BoologgingWithAl  (get it Boo-logging ;D)

Well that's it for now,
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed ^.^
Leave a comment if you want to see me recreate more Halloween things
I hope you have a super fantastic day,

A Haul To Blush About

Excuse my terrible pun but this is indeed a blush haul :)

I've been meaning to post this for a while but you know school and stuff.. so you'll have to bare with me on the posting because I have a million and one things to do and like one free evening a week.. but I will do it!

Anywho, somewhere in the summer holidays I had a little blush splurge. Not that they were expensive, they were actually really cheap but I bought them all at the same time.. which is a little excessive but didn't own any before so it's cool.

From left to right:

MUA blusher in the shade Marshmallow
 £1(!)
This a bright pink colour that's is very girly and barbie-ish. I think this will be a great shade for spring (even though it's the first day of autumn.. woo hoo! by the way!) but it will also be good for when I'm feeling all girly and famine.

MUA blusher in the shade Bubblegum
£1
This is a lovely pinky coral colour which I think is very pretty and princessey, if you know what I mean ;) Since it's more coral then pink it's also great for Autumn, I'm gong to be an autumn princess and it's gonna be great!

MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blush in the shade Scrummy
£2
This is a orangey coral shade and I got this purely for Autumn. I'm just really excited for autumn, I don't know what else to say aha.

Barry M 'Make Me Blush' Cream blush in the shade 2 Rhubarb Crumble
 £4.49
This again is a pinky coral colour, similar to bubblegum but in cream form and it's like a stick of blush so it's easy to draw where your blush goes and then blend it in. This was the first one I got because I think it's quite a classic blush shade.

MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush in the shade Ritzy
£3
I think this one is my favourite. It's a dark pink colour and on it's very rosy and "ooh it's chilly outside" Perfect for winter and the colder months. It's also very creamy, kind of like a moose.

Well thanks for reading!
I hope you enjoyed ^.^
feel free to leave a comment below
and I hope you have a super fantastic day,

A Rimmel London Review: New Kate Moss Nude Lipsticks

Well unless you live under a rock (or don't give a rat's arse about beauty.. in which case, unless you're beyond bored, I don't recommend you read this) you'll of probably heard that Rimmel London has launched new Kate Moss lipsticks in a nude collection. I think Kate Moss is a model or something but she could be an astronaut for all I know. What I do know is that Kate Moss' lipsticks are the bomb.com so when I heard about these it was inevitable that I was gonna pick one up, well two actually ;)

I'm pretty sure there are 5 shades in the collection and then one lip barm thing?

I picked up the two darker colours; 45 and 48 as the others looked a little too light for my liking as they looked like they would make me look like I have "concealer lips" which isn't very hot and "you look ill" as my old head of year would say, haha. But I haven't tried them so I can't judge.

So here number 45 and number 48 in my attempt to be photograpery ;)

That photograpy effort tho...

Oh boy, now to attempt to describe them..

45, on the left, is very smiler to my beloved 03 only this is slightly more sheer and pink toned (I think haha) It's also quite similar to my natural lip colour so it just adds a little something without shout "I'M WEARING LIPSTICK", if you know what I mean.

48, on the right, is defiantly my favourite out of the two. It's kind of like a coffee toned nude and reminds me of on Rachel on friends has worn before. I love my statement red lips, as you will know if you read my blog but bold nude lip is very refreshing and I've been reaching for this one a lot!

Please excuse my peach fuzz aha

also please ignore how messy it it is, I did it very quick and rushed

They don't last very long on the lips but they wear quite evenly so there is no weird lines on your lips after an hour or so. Over all, I'm quite chuffed with them, especially 48!

If you're interested you can find them here or in most drugstores :)

And can we give me points for effort for curling my hair? Like seriously it never happens and short hair is super hard to curl aha.

Whale that's all folks!
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^.^
Have you tried these out or want to? Leave me a comment!
Have a super fantastic day,

Wonder Day: Saturday: A Bit Of A Catch Up

Long time no blog so I thought we'd have a caught up, so pop the kettle on and prepare yourself for a brain explosion ;)

Uni Fair

  • Year 12 (that would include yours truly) when on a trip to Hull university for an open day type of thing and a Uni fair. I'm not going to lie, it sounded pretty boring and I thought it was pretty useless to me as I'm not entirely sure I'm going to uni in favour of going to a police training school. Also finding a Uni that has a Policing course is like trying to find a black cat in a coal cellar. The struggles are real. Anywho, as I was walking around the fair I was pretty convinced that the Navy stand would be the only one to hold and interest or usefulness as that's plan B. oh I was wrong. I was the wonderful and best kind of wrong. After my friends had finished talking to this women at the Canterbury table the women asked me what I wanted to do, which first off made me jump because I'd been day dreaming and wasn't prepared for human interaction. I lazily told her I wanted to be a police officer and she just went "yes we do that" and pointed to the board behind her where it said "policing". My face light up to say the least. The more I found out about it, the happier got! It's a medieval city (I'm obsessed with knights and swords and stuff), It's a beautiful location, it's far away (adventure is out there!), it has a boxing gym, an of course it does my course!! woo hoo! When school starts again in September my big sister said she'd take me down to see it as she lives in London, it can't wait! :)

Tv, Books & Media

  • Game of Thrones season 5 has been and gone and it was fabulous as always but the day after episode 10 I cried at school in my law lesson (you'll know why if you've seen it) and it was embarrassing and my bestfriend couldn't stop laughing at me haha.
  • Teen wolf season five has started and I'm yet to catch up as there are 4 or 5 episodes out and I've only watched 2.. so yeah. It seems good so far although I'm struggling to remember some stuff from the previous seasons but boy I've missed it!
  • I also recently got Netflix which I'm now obsessed with and I'm currently on season 3 of Orange is the new black which I'm also enjoying.
  • Currently reading: Heir of Fire, Pawn of prophecy and Off to Neverland
  • Instagram- I'm getting back into drawing more and instagram more, both my art account and personal.  One of my art goals this year was to be more creative and not just replicate a picture and I think I'm finally starting to do that and I have a lot of original ideas that I just need to find time to create :)
  • I've also become a little obsessed with an app called depop which is like ebay in instagram form but I'll talk more about that in a later post.

School and work

  • I've broken up from school now for 7 whole weeks but I still need to finish my law course work... oops. Also I'm most likely going to working just about everyday thought the holiday so it's not really going to be much of a holiday which sucks but at least I'll be rich.. until winter that is haha.

Clubs

  • Boxing-  I've been enjoying boxing a lot more lately and finally decided that i do want to fight competitively but I have to wait to get my braces off :( I've bee putting thought and time into my fitness and I do believe I'm improving :) I also starting dating one of the boxers there which I never thought would happen but he;'s super great and I'm super happy :D Any who, I think I might do a "what's in my gym bag" and "workout inspiration/ tips and advice" kind of posts soon.
  •  Sea Cadets- Unfortunately the Navy section in CCF shut down at my school so I had to move into the army section which is all good and dandy but it isn't me. I'm Navy to the bones so when I was told that Ma'am was reopening the Navy section in town but as a sea cadets unit I was the first to sign up, literally! I really love it too, it's even better then the Navvy section used to be because we're not ran by school so we get to do a lot more like sailing an stuff. We are also joint to another cadet unit who we go sailing with an everyone there is so nice and involve us as if we'd known each other forever, it's great!

 Room

  • I finally painted my room with help from my mum and I'm starting to fix it you so stay tuned for Room posts!

 Fashion

  • Last thing, at the beginning of the year I said I wanted to discover my fashion style and myself in general and I'm happy to say I've done that or at least more so. Again I'll probably do a separate post on this.
Okay well I started writing this donkeys years ago and just got around to finishing it! It wasn't as long as I thought It'd be either. I've really missed blogging but I'm getting back into it, I just need more hours in the day and less work!

Whale, that's all for now,
Thank for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^,^
Have a super fantastic day!

Spring Nails

Nothing says spring like pastel colours! spring may be nearly over but I thought I'd share anyway. They look nice in summer too and pastels are so pretty that they should be around all year!

I have these on my nails now but when I took these photos I had work and I'm not aloud nail polish at work *cries* but let me tell you they look fabulous!  ;) (I'm not wearing duck egg thought, I'm wearing a baby blue which I couldn't find at the time)

From left to right:

Half Term Drugstore Haul

I worked  all half term and with the pennies I earned I treat myself to a few things from the drugstore. Thanks Alice :)

First up I bought two nail polishes on my way home of the last day of school (I actually got these from the makeup section in Morrison's but still)

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine By Rita Ora- daisy days  (£2.99)

This is a bright yellow and works well with pastel colours, which is what I wanted it for. The brush I quite fat so it's super easy to apply and it needs about two coats and then it's also opaque. I have it on two of my nails now and I'm really impressed, its such a happy colour and defiantly a staple for the rest of spring and summer!

Maybelline Superstay Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish- Pink in the park (£4.49)

This one, like the other is a pastel colour but this is a baby pink colour. It has a fat brush and drys quickly and It needs two to three coats to be fully opaque. I don't normally like pink but it's warming up to me and I can't deny this is gorgeous and also on two of my nails, where it is going to stay for some time!

The other three things I picked up in boots on the way home from work one day.

Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow -off and on bronze  (£4.99)

I've wanted one of these for ages and only just cracked and finally got one and let me tell you, IT'S AMAZING! I genially love it! Its so easy to apply and the colour is beautiful. I got is in off and on bronze or something like that which is a shimmery bronze colour and is just gorgeous! All I do is apply some to my lids with and finger or brush and then just blend it out with a fluffy brush and that's it! I also drag some into my waterline and smoke it out with some eyeliner (I just make it up as I go alone basically) I want to experiment with it as most people who's talked about it say they use it as a base so that sounds interesting, only I suck at eyeshadow so I could take me sometime until it looks good XD

Collection Gorgeous Glow Block- blush  (£2.99)

This blush has five shades that you swirl together to give you a subtle natural glow and I can't help but agree that it is gorgeous! I've worn this twice out and both times I've gotten complements and it was only £2.99, so yes I'm very chuffed with it!

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer- nude eclipse  (£6.49)

I remember Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter mentioning something about these a while ago so when I saw them I investigated further.  I was already looking for a nude lipstick so I was automatically drawn to "nude eclipse" However, I wasn't sure what it would look like and was worried it would make me look lip I had foundation on my lips which isn't very hot and as my old head of year would say "you look ill" to the girls who had it on. But I fretted over nothing because I love it (I've so over used that word but I don't care haha) It's slightly darker then my lips and is just stunning! (I can' describe things for the life of me!)

I was very chuffed with these purchases if you can't tell hehe!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed

Sneaky Drugstore Haul

During the Easter holidays I was back at work and a few times on the way home, me and my sister popped into either superdrug or boots and I bought a few things.. oops?

So what did I buy...
  • Garnier Marcella Cleansing Water- I've heard a few people mention this and seem to like so when I spotted in boots I investigated further. I'd describe it simply as a make-up remover and a very good one at that! I've tried it few times now and I'm truly impressed! It comes off so easily and doesn't irritate or sting my skin like some makeup wipes do.
  • Boots cotton wool pads- Just what I use to take of my makeup :)
  • 52 Goody ouchless elastics- I use this little clear elastics all the time and I manged to lose 52 of them! (reminds me of bobby pins/grips the little buggers ;) )
  • L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation- I really wanted to try out a new foundation and I've heard a lot about this one so I picked it up. I've tried it a few times and I'm not sure how I feel about yet. It's really runny which I thought was weird and I can't decide whether it makes a difference or not but maybes that's because It's low coverage and maybe that's what is suppose to be like? I don't know..
  •  Rimmel London Exaggerate lip liner in 024 Red Diva- Having not the steadiest hands when it comes to makeup, I wanted a red lip liner as I wear red lipstick a lot way more then I should. Not only dose it make it easier to make it neat, it also makes my lipstick last all night. I went to a party the other week and people kept questioning me about my lipstick and was like "as if it's still on" I was pretty chuffed.
  • got2b Beach matt Mermaid look Texturising salt spray- Mermaid look MERMAID look! Who doesn't want to look like a mermaid? Summer is around the corner so I wanted a salt spray to try out because I've heard so much about them and I wanted to look all beachy and tropical and then I found this! I'm so excited to see if it works!
  • Barry M Gelly hi-shine in Cotton- Again, after being inspire by youtubers and instagram and all things Internet, I really wanted to try white nail polish for this time of the year because it's so bright and looks so classy ;) And I love it!
Whale that's all the lovely things I bought myself, thanks Alice for working so hard hehe

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^.^
Have you bought anything nice lately? please share in the comments.
I hope you have a super fantastic day!

FOTD: All Out Casual

Despite being tragically unphotogenic, I quite liked my makeup today :) It's what I would call "all out casual" as the bold lips are like BAM in your face but I'd still and did wear it on a regular day. But then again I'm not one for subtlety ;)

Products used:
  • Rimmel wake me up foundation
  • Collection lasting perfection concealer
  • Rimmel stay matte power
  • Maybelline the falsies- dramatic black
  • Bourjois bronzing powder
  • Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher Rose D'Or 34
  • Rimmel Kohl eyeliner
  • Loreals super liner
  • collection little mix all about the face
  • Bourjois smokey eyes
  • Rimmel 107
The sad thing is I took quite a few pictures this morning and these were the only three I didn't completely hate XD It's just one of those days haha..

Whale this is the shortest and fastest post I've done..

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^.^
Please leave a comment telling me your thoughts, would you wear it? Do penguins have knees?
Hope you all have super fantastic day!

My Pinterest Obsession

There's no hiding the fact that I'm obsessed with Pinterest. It's the place I go to for inspiration and I certainly fine it there! It's one of my favourite social medias and I don't even use it to be social, in fact it probably makes me more unsocial ;)

When I first got Pinterest I didn't care for it much because it looked confusing but after a while you could say I got used to it because I now have 18 boards and 2247pins.. oops? This tends to happen with all social medias, like I didn't understand instagram at first and now I have an art account and Twitter scared me.. But it's different with Pinterest. Pinterest is my selfish place where I only Pin things that I want to Pin! haha okay, I'm not trying to be selfish but it's true ;)

Hiding my love of Pinterest from this Blog would be like hiding I'm secretly a pop star and go by the name of Hannah Montana.. not as exciting? you clearly haven't witnessed the awesomeness of pinterest! :D

So here's mine:

  • projects to try (24 pins)
This board is for when I find a DIYs I like but they don't fit in with my other boards. Like how to make a wand.. you know just casual stuff
  • roomspiration (263 pins)
Roompiration is a board filled with room inspiration for my bedroom, mainly DIY room decorating ideas. I'm kind of obsessed with room decor and I honestly don't think there's a DIY room decor youtube video I haven't watched..
  • Christmas (402 Pins)
Around Christmas time last year I got a little too excited some might say.. I like to call it enthusiastic participation :D In this board there's things like decor, gift ideas, treats and just all things CHRISTMASY! .. it's a beautiful place! ahh..
  • Costume ideas (71 pins)
I started pinning Halloween costumes around august? in my Halloween board and then I found some costumes I liked but weren't halloweeny enough in my opinion, one thing lead to another and now here we are with costumes for all occasions!
  • Generally awesome things (17 pins)
You know that drawer we all have that we put all the random sh*t in that doesn't seem to fit anywhere? Yeah? (haha I rhymed /).^) well this board is my "junk draw" of pinterest and I genuinely don't know what's in there aha
  • nail art (124 pins)
When I first left secondary school after my GCSE exams I got really into nail polish because it was the first time I could wear it for a week without having to take it off (which isn't actually the case because I have to take it off on Thursday for ccf and weekends for work :( ) I'm yet to try most of these but it will happen!
  • art journal inspiration (160 pins)
Like I said in a previous post I tend to pick up hobbies and interests a lot and art journaling was one of them, my interest in it has faded some what as I liked watching videos of other artists creating them but never really got time to do them my own. I'll probably start again when I'm older and when I have more time.
  • hand lettering (12 pins)
Not really sure when or why I made this board but I'm presuming I saw some fancy lettering and had to put it somewhere :)
  • prom hair styles (8 pins)
My prom was in June last year and at the time I guess I was looking for a hairstyle and voila! I probably won't use this board again but I don't have the heart to delete cause you know, memories and all
  • Erador inspiration (509 pins)
Aha okay I kind of have this whole fantasy world and a story in my head that I've never told anyone about.. so I thought I'd tell a couple of random people on the Internet xD In this board I keep images that give me inspiration for my fantasy novel(s). I wont tell you anything else as I plan on writing it when I'm older and more experienced :) ((and by "in my head" I mean I literally think about it ALL the time! whenever I'm day dream (50% of the time) I'm usually mentally playing my story inside my head and creating characters, plots, histories and dynamics of my world.. is that weird? ))
  • drawing inspiration (334 pins)
I use this frequently to give me ideas for what to draw when ever I have drawer's block. Oh the creativity that this board holds!

  • Halloween (57 pins)
Just like I got excited for the run up to Christmas, I got excited -but not as excited- for Halloween. This board has costumes, treats and decorating ideas!

  • Autumn (9 pins)
I started to get excited for autumn after watching American youtubers and seeing how "tumblr" they made it look.. and then it got cold and it made me sad that the leaves weren't autumnal colours like yellow and orange because they were all muddy and smushed together as it rains a lot so I stopped looking.. CURSE YOU BRITISH WEATHER CURSE YOU!
  • Game of Thrones (5 pins)
I am obsessed with the TV show Game of thrones and saw some pictures while I was a browsing my feed that I couldn't not make a board for!
  • Fashion inspiration (145 pins)
This board is mainly what inspired my lust list and it really shows my sense in style, even if I don't own half the items to make the outfits :( but I can dream! (and hence the lust list!)
  • A.L.I.C.E
This is just where I've started sharing my blog posts :)
  • hair and makeup inspiration
And the last board I have so far is where I store any picture of hair and makeup I like. I've been using this a lot lately as I'm trying to get better at doing eyeshadow and there are  lots of useful pins!

Okay, so that's my Pinterest so far. I absolutely love it and think I may be addicted to it as I can spend hours at a time on it!

You'll probably here a lot of Pinterest on my blog form now on like "top pins" and stuff :)

Thanks for reading
Hope you enjoyed  ^.^
Don't forget to leave your pinterest in the comment so I can stalk I mean follow you ;)
Have a super fantastic day!
