A Christmas Tag

1.What's Your Favourite Holiday Movie?

Hands down how the Grinch stole Christmas, I absolutely love it! I've watched it like five times this Christmas so far and tonight we're watching it as a family. You can see my top 8 Christmas movies HERE ;)

2. What's Your Favourite Christmas Colour?

I don't think I have one in particular, but I would have to say red, green and silver or gold as combination for a colour scheme.

3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?

Normally, I stay in my PJs for the morning where we open presents and that and then I will put of a nice dress or something to eat Christmas dinner and for the rest of the day.

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person A Present This Year Who Would It Be?

That's a hard question because my family is so big and there's so many people I bu presents for. I'd probably buy a board game so my whole family could enjoy it (although we'd have to go on teams since theirs too many people in my family, we're used to it haha).

5. Do You Open Your Present On Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

Always Christmas morning.

6. Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

Yes I'm pretty sure i have, I've also built a ginger bread train one year.

7. What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas holidays?

Watch Christmas movies, wear Christmas jumpers, listen and sing to Christmas songs, eat my own body weight, spend time with friends and family, pretty basic Christmas stuff.

8. Any Christmas Wishes?

Only that everyone has a good time, whatever they are celebrating and even if they aren't celebrating anything.

9. Favourite Christmas Smell?

Any sweet, especially Christmas food aha.

10. Favourite Christmas Meal Or Treat?

I LOVE pigs in blankets.. but I love most things haha.

11) Which holiday do you celebrate?

Christmas and New Years.

12) What are you doing for the holidays this year?

Spending it at home with my family.

13) What's your favourite holiday drink?

Snowballs and shloer (the white one).

14) Candy cane or Gingerbread men?

Candy canes but the fruit flavoured ones.

15) What's your favourite holiday/Christmas song?

SO many. I like songs from the Wham, Mariah Carey, Sleigh, Michael Buble etc, even the Grinch soundtrack. I especially love SO HERE IT IS MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERY BODIES HAVING FUN! That's my jam.

16) What's the weirdest gift you've ever received?

One Christmas I asked my sister for a pony so she got me a my little pony teddy. The year before I said I don't mind and to just surprise me. She asked if that meant even if she gave me fluff I wouldn't mind and I was like, yeah you can get me fluff. She actually did but it was that marshmallow fluff, it was great.

17) Have you ever made a snowman?

Several.

18) What is your favourite winter fragrance?

I don't really have one, currently I like the zoella fragrances, soap and glory sugar crush and one direction "that moment".

19) What is at the top of your list this Christmas?

Either a curling wand, crimpers or boxing boots (I pretty sure my parents have gotten me all three since their not expensive and I don't really want anything else.. so thanks mum and dad!)

 20) What is most important to you about the holidays?

My Family. That probably sounds really cliche but I have a huge family and I only really get to see them all at Christmas so it's a special time or year for that reason alone.

I you answer these questions, make sure to tag me :)

Not sure if I'll post anything else over Christmas. I'll probably take pictures on Christmas day and post them.

Hope you all have a very merry Christmas!

FOTD: Go To Makeup

I get poesy when no one answers my texts haha. I don't wear makeup everyday -mainly because I'm always late so I don't have the time- but when I have been wearing makeup, this has been my go to look. I'm in love with Velvet teddy by M.A.C and have been reaching for it every time I put makeup on. I haven't even worn my beloved red lips in a while and it's Christmas! I better change that. Anywho, I based the rest of the look on the lips. Since the lips are brown-ish I bronzed my face and contoured a little, I then put the bronzer through my crease in a dome shape to suit my slightly hooded eyes. Then blush, highlight and mascara and boom, out the door. My eyebrows are a bit cray cray, I plucked them the other day and they look a tone better then they did before but I'm thinking of starting to fill them in.. I don't know if I'm brave enough through aha.

A Haul To Blush About

Excuse my terrible pun but this is indeed a blush haul :)

I've been meaning to post this for a while but you know school and stuff.. so you'll have to bare with me on the posting because I have a million and one things to do and like one free evening a week.. but I will do it!

Anywho, somewhere in the summer holidays I had a little blush splurge. Not that they were expensive, they were actually really cheap but I bought them all at the same time.. which is a little excessive but didn't own any before so it's cool.

From left to right:

MUA blusher in the shade Marshmallow
 £1(!)
This a bright pink colour that's is very girly and barbie-ish. I think this will be a great shade for spring (even though it's the first day of autumn.. woo hoo! by the way!) but it will also be good for when I'm feeling all girly and famine.

MUA blusher in the shade Bubblegum
£1
This is a lovely pinky coral colour which I think is very pretty and princessey, if you know what I mean ;) Since it's more coral then pink it's also great for Autumn, I'm gong to be an autumn princess and it's gonna be great!

MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blush in the shade Scrummy
£2
This is a orangey coral shade and I got this purely for Autumn. I'm just really excited for autumn, I don't know what else to say aha.

Barry M 'Make Me Blush' Cream blush in the shade 2 Rhubarb Crumble
 £4.49
This again is a pinky coral colour, similar to bubblegum but in cream form and it's like a stick of blush so it's easy to draw where your blush goes and then blend it in. This was the first one I got because I think it's quite a classic blush shade.

MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush in the shade Ritzy
£3
I think this one is my favourite. It's a dark pink colour and on it's very rosy and "ooh it's chilly outside" Perfect for winter and the colder months. It's also very creamy, kind of like a moose.

Well thanks for reading!
I hope you enjoyed ^.^

Wonder Day: Saturday: A Bit Of A Catch Up

Long time no blog so I thought we'd have a caught up, so pop the kettle on and prepare yourself for a brain explosion ;)

Uni Fair

  • Year 12 (that would include yours truly) when on a trip to Hull university for an open day type of thing and a Uni fair. I'm not going to lie, it sounded pretty boring and I thought it was pretty useless to me as I'm not entirely sure I'm going to uni in favour of going to a police training school. Also finding a Uni that has a Policing course is like trying to find a black cat in a coal cellar. The struggles are real. Anywho, as I was walking around the fair I was pretty convinced that the Navy stand would be the only one to hold and interest or usefulness as that's plan B. oh I was wrong. I was the wonderful and best kind of wrong. After my friends had finished talking to this women at the Canterbury table the women asked me what I wanted to do, which first off made me jump because I'd been day dreaming and wasn't prepared for human interaction. I lazily told her I wanted to be a police officer and she just went "yes we do that" and pointed to the board behind her where it said "policing". My face light up to say the least. The more I found out about it, the happier got! It's a medieval city (I'm obsessed with knights and swords and stuff), It's a beautiful location, it's far away (adventure is out there!), it has a boxing gym, an of course it does my course!! woo hoo! When school starts again in September my big sister said she'd take me down to see it as she lives in London, it can't wait! :)

Tv, Books & Media

  • Game of Thrones season 5 has been and gone and it was fabulous as always but the day after episode 10 I cried at school in my law lesson (you'll know why if you've seen it) and it was embarrassing and my bestfriend couldn't stop laughing at me haha.
  • Teen wolf season five has started and I'm yet to catch up as there are 4 or 5 episodes out and I've only watched 2.. so yeah. It seems good so far although I'm struggling to remember some stuff from the previous seasons but boy I've missed it!
  • I also recently got Netflix which I'm now obsessed with and I'm currently on season 3 of Orange is the new black which I'm also enjoying.
  • Currently reading: Heir of Fire, Pawn of prophecy and Off to Neverland
  • Instagram- I'm getting back into drawing more and instagram more, both my art account and personal.  One of my art goals this year was to be more creative and not just replicate a picture and I think I'm finally starting to do that and I have a lot of original ideas that I just need to find time to create :)
  • I've also become a little obsessed with an app called depop which is like ebay in instagram form but I'll talk more about that in a later post.

School and work

  • I've broken up from school now for 7 whole weeks but I still need to finish my law course work... oops. Also I'm most likely going to working just about everyday thought the holiday so it's not really going to be much of a holiday which sucks but at least I'll be rich.. until winter that is haha.

Clubs

  • Boxing-  I've been enjoying boxing a lot more lately and finally decided that i do want to fight competitively but I have to wait to get my braces off :( I've bee putting thought and time into my fitness and I do believe I'm improving :) I also starting dating one of the boxers there which I never thought would happen but he;'s super great and I'm super happy :D Any who, I think I might do a "what's in my gym bag" and "workout inspiration/ tips and advice" kind of posts soon.
  •  Sea Cadets- Unfortunately the Navy section in CCF shut down at my school so I had to move into the army section which is all good and dandy but it isn't me. I'm Navy to the bones so when I was told that Ma'am was reopening the Navy section in town but as a sea cadets unit I was the first to sign up, literally! I really love it too, it's even better then the Navvy section used to be because we're not ran by school so we get to do a lot more like sailing an stuff. We are also joint to another cadet unit who we go sailing with an everyone there is so nice and involve us as if we'd known each other forever, it's great!

 Room

  • I finally painted my room with help from my mum and I'm starting to fix it you so stay tuned for Room posts!

 Fashion

  • Last thing, at the beginning of the year I said I wanted to discover my fashion style and myself in general and I'm happy to say I've done that or at least more so. Again I'll probably do a separate post on this.
Okay well I started writing this donkeys years ago and just got around to finishing it! It wasn't as long as I thought It'd be either. I've really missed blogging but I'm getting back into it, I just need more hours in the day and less work!

Whale, that's all for now,
Thank for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^,^
Have a super fantastic day!

Half Term Drugstore Haul

I worked  all half term and with the pennies I earned I treat myself to a few things from the drugstore. Thanks Alice :)

First up I bought two nail polishes on my way home of the last day of school (I actually got these from the makeup section in Morrison's but still)

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine By Rita Ora- daisy days  (£2.99)

This is a bright yellow and works well with pastel colours, which is what I wanted it for. The brush I quite fat so it's super easy to apply and it needs about two coats and then it's also opaque. I have it on two of my nails now and I'm really impressed, its such a happy colour and defiantly a staple for the rest of spring and summer!

Maybelline Superstay Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish- Pink in the park (£4.49)

This one, like the other is a pastel colour but this is a baby pink colour. It has a fat brush and drys quickly and It needs two to three coats to be fully opaque. I don't normally like pink but it's warming up to me and I can't deny this is gorgeous and also on two of my nails, where it is going to stay for some time!

The other three things I picked up in boots on the way home from work one day.

Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow -off and on bronze  (£4.99)

I've wanted one of these for ages and only just cracked and finally got one and let me tell you, IT'S AMAZING! I genially love it! Its so easy to apply and the colour is beautiful. I got is in off and on bronze or something like that which is a shimmery bronze colour and is just gorgeous! All I do is apply some to my lids with and finger or brush and then just blend it out with a fluffy brush and that's it! I also drag some into my waterline and smoke it out with some eyeliner (I just make it up as I go alone basically) I want to experiment with it as most people who's talked about it say they use it as a base so that sounds interesting, only I suck at eyeshadow so I could take me sometime until it looks good XD

Collection Gorgeous Glow Block- blush  (£2.99)

This blush has five shades that you swirl together to give you a subtle natural glow and I can't help but agree that it is gorgeous! I've worn this twice out and both times I've gotten complements and it was only £2.99, so yes I'm very chuffed with it!

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer- nude eclipse  (£6.49)

I remember Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter mentioning something about these a while ago so when I saw them I investigated further.  I was already looking for a nude lipstick so I was automatically drawn to "nude eclipse" However, I wasn't sure what it would look like and was worried it would make me look lip I had foundation on my lips which isn't very hot and as my old head of year would say "you look ill" to the girls who had it on. But I fretted over nothing because I love it (I've so over used that word but I don't care haha) It's slightly darker then my lips and is just stunning! (I can' describe things for the life of me!)

I was very chuffed with these purchases if you can't tell hehe!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed

Mini Makeup and More Haul

On Monday I popped into town on my may home from school and went into Superdrug. I originally went in there to pick up a real techniques miracle makeup sponge that I've heard so much about but when I got there, there was none left! *sign* But did I leave empty hand? well no -probably should of- but no, no I did not. :3

First of all I'll get the boring (but useful) thing out of the way which wasn't from Superdrug. My mum picked me up a diary which I asked her for so I can keep track of my blog posts and when I post them and all.. this is going to be very useful I'm sure, for blogging as well as other stuff that I need to do on certain days. I prefer to hand write notes rather then type them, probably because I have an obsession with stationary (especially notebooks) so I use very opportunity to use
them!

(£7.99)
When I was browsing the Bourjois stand I came came across this magical looking blush and it was so pretty that I couldn't just leave it there. It's a gorgeous shimmery pink colour which is a statement I thought I'd never make, I usually hate pink. But when it's this magical looking how could I resist? I put it on my cheeks early and I can tell you that I doesn't look as shimmery on as it does in the pot, instead it gives you natural and very girly looking Rosy cheeks. I'd also like to point out how neat the container thing is, it's very solid (which I found out the hard way by dropping on the for in the middle of one of the isles and then having to chase after it as I rolled away /).<) You also have to push a button to open it which is handy if you put it in your bag as it's not likely to go everywhere and give you super pretty maths homework (or whatever you have in your bag). I don't think the price is too bad either and when I got to the till, because I bought another £7.99 product from Bourjois I got about £4 off which was a pleasant surprise!

 (£7.99)
Next Thing I picked up was one of the Bourjois Smoky eyes trio.. Pallets? I don't really own any eyeshadow and since I'm quite new at makeup I thought I'd go for neutral colours and a trio will be easier to learn with as they're designed to go with each other. They are all quite shimmer so I'm sure about how subtle they'll be on, but subtlety has never been my my thing plus I'm sure they'll give me super sassy smoky eyes ;) I'm no good at describing colours but I'd say the lighter colour, "the illuminater" is and creamy beige, the middle colour, "the blender and stretcher" is a chocolate bronzey kind of colour which in the light shows hints of gold, and the darkest colour, "the sculptor" is just a darker shade of the middle colour only more brown. :)

The struggles of only having 5 fingers available and 6 colours..
      (£2.50 in shop)
I picked up this pallet not even seeing that it was Little Mix, I don't mind though I quite like some of their songs (especially Salute.. that's my jam!) This pallet consists of 6 basic neutral looking colours, all with a bit of shimmer in them but again I'm not fussed. The colours left to right are; Feather, Sunkissed, Golden sand, Dazzling brown, Cocoa dream and Black bird. In my opinion the names match them quite well so I don't need to struggle describing them (whoop!).

          (£3.99)
Ooh I just love this colour! I've been wanting a grey nail polish for ages after seeing someones nails on instagram. So when I was going past the Barry M stand my eyes lead me straight to this beauty. It's funny, when I was little I used to hate grey but now I love it! And this is a beautiful shade of it, though I'm not sure why it's called chai.. Not only is it a pretty warm(ish) grey but it's a Barry M Gelly nail polish which is probably my favourite brand of nail polish as they're are very pigmented, come in loads of colours and don't chip very much even on my clumsy days okay that's every day but on my EXTREMELY clumsy days :3 My point being I can go days chip free which is all I need as I have to take my nail polish of on a Wednesday night anyway because I'm not allowed to wear it at CCF (Combined Cadet Force) on Thursdays :( I wonder if I where camouflage nail polish, would they notice? ;) Anyway, I'm looking forward to applying this on Friday!

Okay whale that's all for today..

Hope you enjoyed reading ^.^

Have you tried any of these? or have any recommendations? I'd love to hear your opinions in the comments :)

Have a super fantastic day!

Hello? Hello. Hello!

Hello? Hello. Hello!

Hi! I'm Alice and welcome to wonderland. ;)

I've contemplated on writing a blog for a while because the reasons not to write one kind of out way the reasons to write one... well logically.

The reasons not to start a blog go something like this:

> I have school 5 days a week with takes up time on it's own never mind the amount of homework it brings -_-
> I'm a teenager which means;
1. I'm quite young so therefore I'm arguably not very "knowledgeable" or "experienced" in life.
2. I'm supposed to "socialise" with "real people" with takes up time (which I'm not complaining about)
3. Like I said before, I have school and I'm in my first year of A-levels with bring a ton of work.. Fun!
> I have the tendency to procrastinate.. a lot /),(\
> And lastly, someone I know may; find it, laugh, tell other people and they might make fun of me then my family and friends will shun me because I'm an embarrassment so I'm forced to move to a country that doesn't have Internet and take on the identify of Dimity Caufield the third just to escape the epic tragedy that my life has become!

BUT, the reason that I'm starting one is because in my head the reasons to do it outweigh the reasons not to. which are:

> I REALLY want to :)
> And I need to somewhere to write out all my thoughts and ideas other wise there just stuck in my head (which is very distracting) and soon or later I might explode!

Anywho, if you got pat my little rant there, then you may be wondering what my blog is about. whale, I made an acronym.. You're welcome ;)

Adventures- what adventures i get up to whether be exploring a new product or a journey through time and space!
Life- what goes on in my life and what I love in it.
Inspiration- I'll share what inspires me in hopes to inspire someone else.
Creativity- creating things is what I like to do whether that's a look or a DIY.
Excitement- I get excited easily and i want to share my excitement :)

So that's what I'm going for and although my brain may explode onto the screen I'm going to try and keep this blog themed and organised in hopes that it will keep my head more organised.. in some way.

Okay so that's my first post wrapped up, sorry if its terrible but hey you have to start somewhere, right?  well to anyone who reads this, I hope you enjoy my blog in someway and if one person or even just me gets something out of this then it's worth it!  ^.^

Cya!
