A Rimmel London Review: New Kate Moss Nude Lipsticks

Well unless you live under a rock (or don't give a rat's arse about beauty.. in which case, unless you're beyond bored, I don't recommend you read this) you'll of probably heard that Rimmel London has launched new Kate Moss lipsticks in a nude collection. I think Kate Moss is a model or something but she could be an astronaut for all I know. What I do know is that Kate Moss' lipsticks are the bomb.com so when I heard about these it was inevitable that I was gonna pick one up, well two actually ;)

I'm pretty sure there are 5 shades in the collection and then one lip barm thing?

I picked up the two darker colours; 45 and 48 as the others looked a little too light for my liking as they looked like they would make me look like I have "concealer lips" which isn't very hot and "you look ill" as my old head of year would say, haha. But I haven't tried them so I can't judge.

So here number 45 and number 48 in my attempt to be photograpery ;)

That photograpy effort tho...

Oh boy, now to attempt to describe them..

45, on the left, is very smiler to my beloved 03 only this is slightly more sheer and pink toned (I think haha) It's also quite similar to my natural lip colour so it just adds a little something without shout "I'M WEARING LIPSTICK", if you know what I mean.

48, on the right, is defiantly my favourite out of the two. It's kind of like a coffee toned nude and reminds me of on Rachel on friends has worn before. I love my statement red lips, as you will know if you read my blog but bold nude lip is very refreshing and I've been reaching for this one a lot!

Please excuse my peach fuzz aha

also please ignore how messy it it is, I did it very quick and rushed

They don't last very long on the lips but they wear quite evenly so there is no weird lines on your lips after an hour or so. Over all, I'm quite chuffed with them, especially 48!

If you're interested you can find them here or in most drugstores :)

And can we give me points for effort for curling my hair? Like seriously it never happens and short hair is super hard to curl aha.

Whale that's all folks!
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^.^
Have you tried these out or want to? Leave me a comment!
Have a super fantastic day,

Wonder Day: Saturday: A Bit Of A Catch Up

Long time no blog so I thought we'd have a caught up, so pop the kettle on and prepare yourself for a brain explosion ;)

Uni Fair

  • Year 12 (that would include yours truly) when on a trip to Hull university for an open day type of thing and a Uni fair. I'm not going to lie, it sounded pretty boring and I thought it was pretty useless to me as I'm not entirely sure I'm going to uni in favour of going to a police training school. Also finding a Uni that has a Policing course is like trying to find a black cat in a coal cellar. The struggles are real. Anywho, as I was walking around the fair I was pretty convinced that the Navy stand would be the only one to hold and interest or usefulness as that's plan B. oh I was wrong. I was the wonderful and best kind of wrong. After my friends had finished talking to this women at the Canterbury table the women asked me what I wanted to do, which first off made me jump because I'd been day dreaming and wasn't prepared for human interaction. I lazily told her I wanted to be a police officer and she just went "yes we do that" and pointed to the board behind her where it said "policing". My face light up to say the least. The more I found out about it, the happier got! It's a medieval city (I'm obsessed with knights and swords and stuff), It's a beautiful location, it's far away (adventure is out there!), it has a boxing gym, an of course it does my course!! woo hoo! When school starts again in September my big sister said she'd take me down to see it as she lives in London, it can't wait! :)

Tv, Books & Media

  • Game of Thrones season 5 has been and gone and it was fabulous as always but the day after episode 10 I cried at school in my law lesson (you'll know why if you've seen it) and it was embarrassing and my bestfriend couldn't stop laughing at me haha.
  • Teen wolf season five has started and I'm yet to catch up as there are 4 or 5 episodes out and I've only watched 2.. so yeah. It seems good so far although I'm struggling to remember some stuff from the previous seasons but boy I've missed it!
  • I also recently got Netflix which I'm now obsessed with and I'm currently on season 3 of Orange is the new black which I'm also enjoying.
  • Currently reading: Heir of Fire, Pawn of prophecy and Off to Neverland
  • Instagram- I'm getting back into drawing more and instagram more, both my art account and personal.  One of my art goals this year was to be more creative and not just replicate a picture and I think I'm finally starting to do that and I have a lot of original ideas that I just need to find time to create :)
  • I've also become a little obsessed with an app called depop which is like ebay in instagram form but I'll talk more about that in a later post.

School and work

  • I've broken up from school now for 7 whole weeks but I still need to finish my law course work... oops. Also I'm most likely going to working just about everyday thought the holiday so it's not really going to be much of a holiday which sucks but at least I'll be rich.. until winter that is haha.

Clubs

  • Boxing-  I've been enjoying boxing a lot more lately and finally decided that i do want to fight competitively but I have to wait to get my braces off :( I've bee putting thought and time into my fitness and I do believe I'm improving :) I also starting dating one of the boxers there which I never thought would happen but he;'s super great and I'm super happy :D Any who, I think I might do a "what's in my gym bag" and "workout inspiration/ tips and advice" kind of posts soon.
  •  Sea Cadets- Unfortunately the Navy section in CCF shut down at my school so I had to move into the army section which is all good and dandy but it isn't me. I'm Navy to the bones so when I was told that Ma'am was reopening the Navy section in town but as a sea cadets unit I was the first to sign up, literally! I really love it too, it's even better then the Navvy section used to be because we're not ran by school so we get to do a lot more like sailing an stuff. We are also joint to another cadet unit who we go sailing with an everyone there is so nice and involve us as if we'd known each other forever, it's great!

 Room

  • I finally painted my room with help from my mum and I'm starting to fix it you so stay tuned for Room posts!

 Fashion

  • Last thing, at the beginning of the year I said I wanted to discover my fashion style and myself in general and I'm happy to say I've done that or at least more so. Again I'll probably do a separate post on this.
Okay well I started writing this donkeys years ago and just got around to finishing it! It wasn't as long as I thought It'd be either. I've really missed blogging but I'm getting back into it, I just need more hours in the day and less work!

Whale, that's all for now,
Thank for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^,^
Have a super fantastic day!

Nothing says spring like pastel colours! spring may be nearly over but I thought I'd share anyway. They look nice in summer too and pastels are so pretty that they should be around all year!

I have these on my nails now but when I took these photos I had work and I'm not aloud nail polish at work *cries* but let me tell you they look fabulous!  ;) (I'm not wearing duck egg thought, I'm wearing a baby blue which I couldn't find at the time)

Half Term Drugstore Haul

I worked  all half term and with the pennies I earned I treat myself to a few things from the drugstore. Thanks Alice :)

First up I bought two nail polishes on my way home of the last day of school (I actually got these from the makeup section in Morrison's but still)

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine By Rita Ora- daisy days  (£2.99)

This is a bright yellow and works well with pastel colours, which is what I wanted it for. The brush I quite fat so it's super easy to apply and it needs about two coats and then it's also opaque. I have it on two of my nails now and I'm really impressed, its such a happy colour and defiantly a staple for the rest of spring and summer!

Maybelline Superstay Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish- Pink in the park (£4.49)

This one, like the other is a pastel colour but this is a baby pink colour. It has a fat brush and drys quickly and It needs two to three coats to be fully opaque. I don't normally like pink but it's warming up to me and I can't deny this is gorgeous and also on two of my nails, where it is going to stay for some time!

The other three things I picked up in boots on the way home from work one day.

Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow -off and on bronze  (£4.99)

I've wanted one of these for ages and only just cracked and finally got one and let me tell you, IT'S AMAZING! I genially love it! Its so easy to apply and the colour is beautiful. I got is in off and on bronze or something like that which is a shimmery bronze colour and is just gorgeous! All I do is apply some to my lids with and finger or brush and then just blend it out with a fluffy brush and that's it! I also drag some into my waterline and smoke it out with some eyeliner (I just make it up as I go alone basically) I want to experiment with it as most people who's talked about it say they use it as a base so that sounds interesting, only I suck at eyeshadow so I could take me sometime until it looks good XD

Collection Gorgeous Glow Block- blush  (£2.99)

This blush has five shades that you swirl together to give you a subtle natural glow and I can't help but agree that it is gorgeous! I've worn this twice out and both times I've gotten complements and it was only £2.99, so yes I'm very chuffed with it!

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer- nude eclipse  (£6.49)

I remember Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter mentioning something about these a while ago so when I saw them I investigated further.  I was already looking for a nude lipstick so I was automatically drawn to "nude eclipse" However, I wasn't sure what it would look like and was worried it would make me look lip I had foundation on my lips which isn't very hot and as my old head of year would say "you look ill" to the girls who had it on. But I fretted over nothing because I love it (I've so over used that word but I don't care haha) It's slightly darker then my lips and is just stunning! (I can' describe things for the life of me!)

I was very chuffed with these purchases if you can't tell hehe!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed

Spring Fashion Inspiration

Well, spring is officially upon us and after several hours on pinterest, I decided too put together a "Spring Fashion Inspiration" post to get into the spring mood :) Most of these can work in summer as well.

Pastels

Pastels are stereotypically spring, I mean I don't know about you but even when I think of the word "spring" it's written in baby pink. I don't know why either, maybe it's because they're light and girly and not to bold and in your face. They're the perfect transition colours from winter's dark colours to summer's bright colours. I absolutely adore them!

Floral

Another stereotypical spring thing because you know, flowers blossom in spring and all. However it's weird that I'm putting them in this post because I used to hate floral prints as I thought they were either super girl or for old ladies. Oh how wrong I was.. I mean they're still super girl but I don't mind that much anymore (not like I did when I was a kid and hated the sight of pink, YUCK!) in fact I quite like them, especially little prints and daisies.

Lace

Lace reminds me of the little sundresses I worn on summer holidays when I was little. It's very bohemian and screams music festival. Now that it's getting warmer I want  to add some lace dresses and tops to my wardrobe so I can feel like a summer Goddess, especially with a flower crown. Oh how Tumblr!

High Neck Spaghetti Tops and Dresses

Ignoring the fact of I have no idea what these are actually called I love them and think they're perfect for spring and summer! There are such a cool twist on you're average strapy top (which I look hideous in as the boob gods frown upon me completely missed me out) These just look so chic and tumblr and I think they're super flattering!

Denim

Denim is obviously an all year round thing but I thought I'd still mention it because I've seen quite a few spring outfits I like that include it that I love the look of. Mainly waistcoats and dungarees.. I LOVE dungarees! :3

Stripes

Stripes are another thing I used to hate but they're grown on me (not literally) .. probably due to watching too much a lot of Zoella. I think they're very stylish and even classy ;) And I think they're perfect for spring to pair with a bright colour because they may be monochrome but they still look bright and add interest to an outfit.

Whale, that's it. Of course there are tons of clothes I think are super springy but I tried to narrow it down. If you want to see where I found all these pictures and more my pinterest is linked below :)

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed ^,^
