2018 Resolutions, Goals, Mindset.

Happy New Year!

So, it's not been the best start of the year for me so far (nasty exam season!) and I was in a real low mood earlier but then I watched Sophia and Cinza's "Mind set" video and I totally got inspire! ("sophiaandcinza" are my new YouTube obsession and I totally recommend checking them out)

I watched it and then went straight upstairs and completely tidied and organised my bedroom because having a messy mind and a messy room was too much. Now that one sorted it is time to sort out the other. Just typing this post and thinking about what I'm going to put is making me excited for the new year which is a very good starting point in my book!

Resolution

Okie dokie then first things first, my resolution of the year. Now it sounds pretty cheesy and cliché but in all honesty my new years resolution is "Love Yo Self". For some reason I developed insecurities that I had never had before in 2017 and I just kind of stopped liking who I was so I plan to fix that. Now, in true Alice fashion I wrote down a list because lists are beautiful. I wrote down a list of things that I want to improve and then what I am going to do to fix them because there's no point listing errors with no solution.

So the main things I want to work on are:

Body
Okay so for this one I'm not just talking about the appearance of it, I want to feel fit. If you know me then you'll know I'm quite a sporty person and I actually enjoy going to the gym and doing exercise. I'm not just a January get-fitter. Last year I joined the gym for the first time. It was a little scary at first and I was toddling around like a lost sheep not sure what to do but soon I fell in love with it. Sadly, when I came back to university in September I never joined the gym here (I didn't really like the one I first joined) so I haven't been to the gym in like 4 months. I've been Boxing twice a week still but even there I haven't been exercising that much as this year I'm captain so I coach them on the Thursdays sessions which means I miss out on training. So I've kind of felt and looked like a potato for the past 4 months especially after the Christmas season (one too many mince pies hehe). But but but! A new gym opened in Canterbury, Pure gym, and it looks pretty good so I joined up last night and I plan to go first thing in the morning (it's already 1am but I had to get this all off of my chest so wish me luck haha) SO, my goal for this year is to push myself at both boxing and the gym so I feel as fit as a fiddle!

Appearance wise, I'm aiming to get rid of the squige on my belly that I picked up at uni and also rediscover my hips and side bum because I misplaced them. Ooh also this year I want to finally master press ups! I Also need to stop avoiding cardio. I'm just so excited to get back to exercising and feeling great I just need to make time to go there. To go along with exercising I want to look into eating a bit healthier and cleaner so I'm pretty sure a bit of googling and YouTube will help me out.

Mainly though I need to accept my body and appearance, specially my boobs or lack of. I don't have boobs and probably never will so I need to get over it and become a proud member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee :)

Positivity

Starting after this post I need to stop putting myself down and focusing on things I don't like myself and instead embrace who I am and "love yo self". I also want to start spreading positivity again because I used to be such a positive and optimistic person and I need to relight that positive light in me. just little things like complementing people and helping them see the good in things. I might start doing the occasional motivation Monday posts (no point saying I'll do them every Monday because I already know I wont have time and I'm limiting thins I can fail here.) Like I said earlier, I need to stop caring so much such as what people think about me and the way I look. Every time I feel insecure I just need to ask myself "why do I care?" and I don't so I need to stop caring and take everything on the chin. I'm only insecure because I let myself be and thinking about it isn't going to "fix" anything so why worry about it. There are so many more important things in life and I should focus on those.

General Mindset
This year I just need to focus on myself, as selfish as that sounds. I need to put my need and future a head of everything. I need to focus on my grades at uni and my general wellbeing. I need to stop caring about guys, yes I'm like the only single one of my friends but who cares. I just need to do what I gotta do for myself such as the gym. I'm not too sure how to put it into words as I'm falling asleep now but overall my mind set for this year is fresh. I'm going to be more organised, fitter and positive and stop giving a damn about irrelevant things and love myself.

Goals
A few of my goals to achieve this year are:
  • Get my first tattoo
  • Write the first draft of my novel (finally)
  • Go abroad
  • Read and write more
  • Draw more
  • Blog more
  • Experiment with make up more
  • Complete a Jigsaw puzzle
  • Try fake tan
  • Express my style more (yellow) and post outfit posts
  • Learn a new skill
Well this was kind of rambly spontaneous post but I had to get it out of my head.

Until next time,
Alice :) xx

2016 Goals & Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!

Well, what a year's it's been, ay? Though I personally haven't achieve anything mahusive, I've grown SO damn much as a human being (which apparently isn't spelt been, as I was trying to spell it just now.. I haven't slept a wink so bare with my weirdness aha) I'm 17 years old so I obviously haven't "discovered" myself full as I still have a long way to go, but I've found someone and I'm pretty pleased with who I am as of now. Before I began sixth form in September 2014 I feel like I didn't know myself, as weird and deep as that sound, I didn't. Not really. I feel like back then I was just a mess. I didn't know what I liked, didn't have a "style" and didn't really know what was "me". You develop and change all the way through your life but it's a little sad when you're now sure of yourself. 2015 comes though and it's a Cracker! I can now look at something such as an item of clothing and be like "Oh that's so me!" (I thank pinterest for this) ad I don't know, I just feel more like I've got my shit together :3 I probably did know what I liked and what was me in early life but I think that in 2015 I just tidied up and make everything clearer. NOT to mention I started this blog in the beginning of 2015 which has changed my life and the way I look at things. Enough babbling. 2015 was a great year, okay..

On to 2016!

I thought I'd document my goals and resolutions for your knowledge and my my reminded.

GOALS & RESOLUTIONS

Be More Organised - Use dairies, planners, to do lists. Don't wait until last minute for deadlines. Also plan ahead. This can be as simple as planing my outfit the day before.
Be More Adventurous -In how I look, what I wear, creativity, how I spend my time, etc.
Stop Wishing and Start Doing -Put plans into action and get things done.
Use Social Media More -Keep up to date and post regularly.
Read More -I only read like 15 books last year and now I'm really getting into reading I want to read more.
Have My first Boxing Match -I was carded at the end of last year so in 2016 I want to have I my first fight.
Be More Positive -Now, I'm a positive optimist, but I find myself saying saying "I can't" a lot. Mainly in training. Instead of whingeing I just need to suck it up and tried my damn hardest.
Blog -Sometimes I'm put off blogging because it takes ages to write a post. I need to learn that I don't have to post just long posts, I can write simple short posts such as simply posting a few picture I have taken that I like. I want to make A.L.I.C.E more personal and give me that feeling that made me fall in love with blogging.

I could go on and on but I think they are the main ones :3

Thanks for reading and I wish you all the best in 2016. Please some of your resolutions and goals in the comments, I'd love to read them!

I'm SO excited for this year! I think this blog is going to love it too.

(Side note: I'm finally trying to watch star wars and I have one question: WHY THE HELL ARE THEY IN THE WRONG ORDER? I'm watching IV first, why? ... and just missed all the slanted information siding along which is probably important.. oops. I'll have to rewind and pause because I'm a slow reader aha.)

2015 Goals & Resolutions!

I've never been very good at keeping new years resolutions. I normally make one or two up in the last minutes of the previous year with out putting much thought into them and by February I've either; forgotten about them, forgotten what they were and sometimes I've even given up on them completely and moved on with my life.

However, this year I'm determined to make some and stick to them by actually doing something about them. Here are my resolutions for 2015:
  •  Be more Productive

I.e "get sh*t done" ;) Like I said in my first post, I have a tendency to procrastinate. This then leads to noting being done that needs to be done as I will opt for anything over my homework and find anything and EVERYTHING distracting! This needs to stop. Or at least happen less. Also, I need turn more of the ideas I have swimming in my head in to actual things.
  • Be more Organised
This is one I make every year as I'm a very disorganised person. I'm always late or last minute with everything and there seems to always be something I need to do but if I just got my head down and got on with them straight away then I'd probably feel a lot better at the end of day without the sinking feeling off a essay needing to be in for the next day that I probably haven't even started.
  • Be more Creative
This one's a fun one. (yay!)  This one is simply to try and put a bit more creativity into everything. I love to draw (*self promo-alert* I even have a drawing account on instagram www.instagram.com/__ali_art__   ;)) but I tend to just draw a picture of something on the Internet like a Disney character or something but what I want to start to do is do some concept art and just create something beautiful that came out of my head (I mean like an idea.. not my brain xD)
This also aplies to my make-up, hairstyles and fashion sense. I want to try more things and styles out so I don't look so plain and ordinary. Plus I would like to get better at these three things, especially make-up (pesky impossible-to-do winged eyeliner!)

I also went and set myself a few goals that I want to achieve this year, to keep track of these goals I made a "goals canvas"

 Tad-Dar! :D

I got the inspiration to make this from the youtuber Ryan Lamont (click here for his channel) and I just knew I had to make one and well I did :) every time I complete a goal, I'll colour it in until they're all colourful and I'm a successful human being.

2015 goals:

  • Start a Blog- technically I've done this but I'm waiting until I'm comfortable and know what I'm doing. I feel Starting a blog will help me achieve my other goals..
  • Reach 2k on Instagram (@__ali_art__)- I hit 1000 followers in 2014 but lost 140 of them when Insta deleted lots of accounts but I'm determined to get 1k back and even achieve 2k!
  •  Take More Photos (and Print Them!)- I want to capture more memories or my adventures and the people I love and I want to fill my walls with the photos I take
  • Travel Somewhere Cool- I would love to travel around the world but since that's not likely to happen anytime soon to travel just around the uk would be a good start
  • Learn a New Skill- I'll admit, I'm pretty skill-less. I mean I'm "okay" at lots of stuff and maybe "Good" at a few things but I really want to learn a skill that people will "WOW" at but even if that doesnt happen then it will be still nice to have learnted something new
  • Read At Least 15 Books- I'm a slow reader but I do really enjoy it! I'm planning to read more then 15 books but I set that as my goal because you know its 2015 and all..
  • Discover My Own Style- This goes with the creativey bit I mentioned earlier. In 2014 I grew a lot as a person. I started wearing make-up more and for the first time wore red lipstick out in public (which I discovered I love!) So this year I want to discover my fasihon sense and style as a whole and grow even more as a human :)
Well thats all for today, hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful year!

What are your resolutions and goals?

CYA!
